BMW X3 M - sports version of the crossover BMW X3. Car with index F97 presented in February 2019.

"Emka" traditionally differs from the original model in a more aggressive design of bumpers and rims, an enlarged spoiler, larger air intakes, different-wide front and rear tires, as well as an optional package of M Carbon body decor elements (front air intakes, special protrusions on the front aerodynamic body kit, rear diffuser and exterior mirror housings). In addition, the interior is characterized by sports seats with enhanced lateral support, an M sports steering wheel with red buttons M1 and M2, which are responsible for choosing individual driving modes and a new “automatic” selector.

The crossover received a new iteration of the M TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder inline engine with two turbochargers. The 3.0 liter petrol engine develops 480 hp. and maximum torque of 600 Nm. On the BMW X3 M in the Competition version, a boosted power unit with an increase of 30 hp was used. - up to 510 hp return.

The engine is paired with an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive system, which debuted on the charged BMW M5 sedan. The M xDrive system distributes power with priority to the rear axle and allows for two all-wheel drive modes. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 4.2 seconds for the BMW X3 M, and 4.1 seconds for the Competition version.

In addition, compared to the conventional BMW X3, the X3 M version has “its own” levers and stabilizers, as well as the original kinematic and elasto-kinematic characteristics of the suspension. Adaptive M dampers, variable ratio steering and composite brakes are installed. Finally, additional amplifiers are installed in the front of the body, which make it even more rigid.
