BMW M6 Gran Coupe - a rear-wheel drive sports sedan, which the company calls a four-door coupe.
Under the hood of the car, a 4.4-liter eight-cylinder biturbo petrol is installed. Peak torque of 680 Nm is available in the range of 1,500-5,750 rpm, and maximum power of 560 hp. - between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm.
Equipped as standard with a sports suspension, 20-inch wheels and an active rear axle differential that distributes torque between the wheels depending on speed, cornering angles and surface conditions.
The four-door BMW M6 Gran Coupe accelerates to “hundreds” in exactly as much as it takes the two-door M6 without the prefix “Gran”, that is, in 4.2 seconds - 0.2 seconds faster than the M5 sedan. This result was achieved not least thanks to the use of lightweight materials - a carbon roof, aluminum suspension elements.
Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Nevertheless, for a surcharge (M Driver package), the limiter can be removed and then the “maximum speed” will move to 305 km / h.
Nominally, the car is a five-seater, but due to the rear air conditioning unit, only two passengers can comfortably accommodate in the gallery. The “base” includes leather and Alcantara trim, heated front seats, auto-dimming mirrors, alarm, radio, dual-zone climate control, adaptive LED headlights following the direction of the road.
Among the many options are lightweight sports seats, heated rear seats, automatic door closers, Bang & Olufsen premium acoustics, a rear-view camera, as well as a number of auxiliary systems that use a camera that is installed on the top of the windshield: auto-switching light from far to near , lane control, night vision.
The public debut of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe took place in January 2013 at the Detroit auto show, sales in Ukraine began in the summer of 2013. Serial production has been established in Germany.
