Description BMW X4 (F26)

BMW X4 - the serial version of the model was presented in the spring of 2014. The car retained the coupe-like forms of the concept presented a year earlier, but at the same time it turned from a four-seater to a five-seater.

The platform for the model was borrowed from the BMW X3. However, unlike the latter, which is also offered in rear-wheel drive, the BMW X4 will be available exclusively in all-wheel drive.

The range of BMW X4 engines includes three petrol and diesel engines. Petrol modifications:

• xDrive20i - two-liter turbo with 184 hp and 270 Nm;

• xDrive28i - two-liter turbo with 245 hp and 350 Nm;

• xDrive35i - in-line turbocharged "six" with 306 hp and 400 Nm.

Diesel versions:

• xDrive20d - 190 hp four-cylinder turbo engine. and 400 Nm;

• xDrive30d - in-line turbocharged "six" with 258 hp and 560 Nm;

• xDrive35d - in-line turbocharged "six" with 313 hp and 630 Nm.

All engines, except for the least powerful diesel, are aggregated by an eight-speed automatic. For the 190-horsepower turbodiesel, an automatic transmission as an alternative to the six-speed manual is offered as an option.

In addition to the standard ABS and the stability control system in the “base”, the BMW X4 is equipped with braking control systems in corners, automatic brake drying, assistance when starting off, front and side airbags, as well as inflatable air curtains.

The ground clearance of the BMW X4 is 204 mm. The model is produced at the company's plant in the USA.
