Despite the fact that the ground clearance of the BMW 5 Series GT is 145 mm, the landing of the driver and passengers in the car is 100 mm higher compared to the 5 Series sedan, which provides visibility at the level of crossovers.
The tailgate, which can be equipped with an electric drive as an option, can be opened in two positions - only the metal part or the whole, including the glass section. The volume of the cargo compartment in the normal state is 440 liters, but with the rear seats folded down, it can be increased to 1,700 liters.
The BMW 5 Series GT has five seats, while the two outer seats on the rear sofa can be adjusted individually.
The Ukrainian market offers both rear-wheel drive modifications and models with the xDrive all-wheel drive system. For rear-wheel drive versions, active rear wheel steering is available as an option, which ensures stable and safe cornering.
The BMW 5 Series GT is aggregated with petrol and diesel engines whose power varies from 184 to 450 hp. The transmission is exclusively an eight-speed automatic Speptronic. Depending on the selected motor and drive type, acceleration to “hundreds” of the BMW 5 Series GT takes from 8.9 to 4.8 seconds.
