BMW 4 Series Convertible - successor to the open version BMW 3 Series 2010-2013 years of release. The premiere of the model in the back of the F33 took place in November 2013. Compared to its predecessor, the “four” has added 50 mm in the wheelbase, as well as in the overall overall length (+26 mm), which is 4,638 mm. gasoline in-line "six" with a volume of three liters. Maximum engine power of 306 hp available at 5,800-6,000 rpm. The peak torque of 400 Nm is achieved over a wide range from 1,200 to 5,000 rpm. Acceleration to hundreds of the BMW 435i takes 5.6 seconds;
gasoline four-cylinder engine with a volume of two liters with a return of 245 hp. (at 5,000-6,500 rpm) and a peak torque of 350 Nm, available in the range of 1,250-4,800 rpm. With such an engine, the BMW 428i sprints from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in 6.4 seconds;
two-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 184 hp The maximum torque of the unit is 380 Nm and is available at 1,750-2,750 rpm. Up to a hundred kilometers per hour BMW 520d accelerates in 8.2 seconds.
The basic transmission for any of the engines is a six-speed "mechanics". For a surcharge, you can order an eight-speed “automatic” instead. In addition, a sports version of the automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters is also available as an option.
It is noteworthy that the automatic transmission will delight owners not only with comfort, but also with economy. For example, with an automatic, the 306-horsepower version of the BMW 4 Series Convertible is ready to consume 10.8 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers in the urban cycle. At the same time, with a manual transmission, this figure is 11.4 liters. Consumption in urban mode for the BMW 428i is respectively 8.6 (with "automatic") and 8.8 liters (with "mechanics"). The diesel modification in this cycle consumes 5.7 (automatic transmission) and 6 liters (manual transmission).
Among the interesting options are smart LED headlights, adaptive cruise control (works at speeds from 30 to 210 km/h), and a color head-up display.
The ground clearance of a convertible is 10 mm less than that of a sedan. BMW 3 Series and is 130 mm. The xDrive all-wheel drive system is optionally available for the BMW 428i version. In other cases, an open two-door is rear-wheel drive.
