Description BMW 3 Series Cabriolet

BMW 3 Series Convertible - an open version of the previous generation of the BMW "troika". The number of seats in the cabin is four. Drive — only rear. The premiere of the car took place in 2006 - it was then that the rag top gave way to a hardtop with electric drives, which automatically hides in the trunk in about 20 seconds.

For the BMW 3 Series Convertible, a very wide range of engines is offered, which includes eight units - five petrol and three diesel. The power of gasoline engines varies from 143 to 306 hp, and diesel - from 184 to 245.

The 143-horsepower engine can only work in tandem with a six-speed “mechanics”, for all other engines a six-speed automatic is available as an option, and for the most powerful 306-horsepower six-cylinder unit with a volume of 3 liters, a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches.

In addition, among the options for the car, several options for interior design and leather upholstery, active cruise control, a navigation system, premium acoustics, remote start of heating or cooling the interior are offered.

In January 2013, at the Detroit Auto Show, the company demonstrated a pre-production coupe. BMW 4 Series, production of which will begin in the summer. It is meant to change BMW 3 Series Coupe, and its open modification, which will appear a little later, will accordingly replace the BMW 3 Series Cabrio.

The BMW 3 Series Convertible is assembled in Germany.
